Wicked Talent: Stereo Hearts (Josh Harrison Acoustic Cover on itunes)

Want to see some wicked talent?  This version of Stereo Hearts by Josh Harrison and Jamie Clayton is amazing.  These guys perform Adam Levine’s Stereo Hearts better than he does-I love the tempo.  In fact, I think it’s better than Adam Levine’s version.

Good news:  If you get hooked to this version like I did, you can download it on iTunes at  http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/acoustic-sessions/id477615982

Top 10 Tips for Losing Pregnancy Weight

Losing weight after pregnancy or miscarriage can be extremely tough.  In my own experience, losing weight after miscarriage has been much harder than it was after pregnancy.  No matter what I did, how consistent I was, or how hard I tried, I could not lose the last 6 pounds after miscarriage. I’ve come to the conclusion that this has a lot to do with excess estrogen.

Your liver is responsible for metabolizing estrogen, and it can’t do this job it’s busy getting rid of other crap we put into our bodies.  Therefore, the excess estrogen in your system after pregnancy or miscarriage continues to float around and make fat loss virtually impossible. Once I made a few simple, yet powerful adjustments to my lifestyle, the weight finally came off.  These changes had nothing to do with exercise or caloric deficit and everything to do with helping my body do some estrogen detox.

Here are a few less well known tips for losing weight after miscarriage  and pregnancy that can help lower your estrogen levels and make your efforts more effective.

Deputy Director of CDC Charged With Child Molestation and Bestiality

Just wanted to help make sure that every mom out there is aware of this story.  This is one of the top leaders with the CDC.  Though Dr. Lindsey is Deputy Director for the counter terrorism department at the present time, she played a big role in pushing swine flu immunizations during the “swine flu epidemic.”  You can formulate your own opinion about the reality of that whole scare, but are these the types of people who should be making important decisions about your child’s health?

What a joke.  Moreover, what a gross embarrassment for the CDC.

That’s all for today, folks.  Cheers to the physician who alerted the police to these scumbags, and on to happier things tomorrow.  Remember to turn your clocks back today!

Halloween 2011: Snow White Goes Blonde

A few months ago, Savanna decided to be Rapunzel for Halloween.  I went ahead and got the entire costume but obviously bought into her plan too early.

She changed her mind.

So she decided to be Snow White instead last week and invited me to be the Evil Queen.  I politely declined and offered to be one of the elves instead.  She looked a little confused and corrected me, saying “they’re dwarfs, not elves.”  Now I realize Costco has REALLY thrown me off by putting out Christmas decorations in August.
